Policy 2.54One-Stop Film Permitting

  1. The Superintendent is authorized to utilize the advisory services of the Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission, Inc.:

  2. Further, the Superintendent or designee is authorized to approve contracts with the film and/or television companies for the use of School Board facilities and properties provided the films and/or TV programs do not use School Board facilities or properties for scenes that:

    1. Use the school name;

    2. Contain scenes depicting alcohol or drug usage;
    3. Contain violence;
    4. Contain nudity; or
    5. Contain any content that violates any federal, state, county or local laws, regulations or ordinances, or School Board policies.

  3. Liability insurance coverage is required under all contracts as well as a hold harmless indemnification clause. The production company shall provide documentation evidencing insurance coverage, prior to contract approval by the Superintendent or designee.

  4. If applicable, the Film Commission shall require a script for approval from the School Board, Superintendent or designee. A script will then be attached to the permit and submitted to all involved parties.

  5. Prior to entering into a contract with the Superintendent or designee, a production company shall disclose the conviction(s) of any individual of any felony(ies) or other crimes of moral turpitude who will be in a School Board facility or on School Board property.
