| Employment of Licensed Temporary Personnel |
The Superintendent may recommend to the Board the temporary employment of licensed or professional employees. These employees will be paid an hourly rate commensurate with prevailing wages in the community. They will be employed when work is available, beyond that which can be handled by full and part-time regular employees in the District. These employees have no future expectation of work and receive no seniority rights within the District. The District will provide such employees with Florida State Retirement, FICA and Medicare coverage but no other employee benefits.
The Division of Personnel will be responsible for setting appropriate rates annually and making them part of the Salary Handbook.
