Policy 5.71Contests

  1. Contests sponsored by organizations not a part of the county school system shall not be engaged in by schools without the expressed approval of the Superintendent--it is not the intent of the School Board to discourage student participation outside of school hours.

  2. The Superintendent shall develop appropriate procedures to review requests by organizationsfor student participation in contests. Procedures shall be developed to communicate to schools the announcements of approved contests.
