| Exceptional Student Education Policies and Procedures (Sp&P) |
Purpose. The School Board of Palm Beach County (Board) desires to ensure the School District's compliance with Fla. Stat. § 1003.57(1)(a) 4 and State Board of Education Rule 6A-6.03411, requiring once every three years, for the School District to submit to the Department of Education its proposed procedures for the provision of special instruction and related services for exceptional students.
General Statement of Policy. The School Board hereby adopts and approves for the Palm Beach County School District the "Exceptional Student Education Policies and Procedures (SP&P) with effective dates of 2009-2010 through 2011-2012", as may be amended or updated by or at the direction of the Department of Education or State Board of Education, as attached and incorporated by reference. A copy of the Student Education Policies and Procedures (SP&P) document is available in the District's ESE Department and is online on the District's ESE Department's website.
Responsibility.
Questions concerning this policy should be directed to the Department of Exceptional Student Education.
The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring that this policy is followed.
