Policy 6.27Food Prepared Outside the Regular School Food Service Program

  1. The following criteria for the preparation of foods outside the regular school food service program shall be followed:

    1. No such foods shall leave the premises of the school center at which they are prepared.

    2. No extra foods shall be prepared for activities other than official school functions.

    3. When extra foods are prepared or served for a special event, the cafeteria manager or a food service employee must be on duty, and agree to perform any overtime activity.

    4. Both the food and labor costs for such events must be fully reimbursed to the School Food Service Program by the sponsoring group.
