Discrimination in the prequalification of contractors and in the award of contracts for goods/services on the basis of religion, race, national origin, color, sex, marital status, parental status or handicap is prohibited. All interested persons who participate in prequalification and bid procedures shall be required to comply with the directives designated by the Superintendent in order to be eligible to enter into a contract for goods/services with the School Board. The Superintendent shall promulgate directives which will provide for affirmative efforts on the part of the district to recruit minority/women businesses to participate in the bid process.
