| Graduation Under Early Admission and Advanced Studies Program |
High school principals are authorized to approve fulfillment of graduation requirements and the earning of college credits by students under the following conditions:
The student with an exemplary record is accepted by an accredited college or university as a full-time student after completion of a minimum of two full school years and a minimum of ten (10) credits earned above grade nine. The student may be awarded a diploma of graduation with his regular class or at a time convenient to the principal based on the following:
The student has completed two college semesters or equivalent with a normal class load and maintained at least a C average or equivalent.
The student cumulative folder shall show adequate notations covering the work accomplished while in college. An official transcript of college level work will be used as verification for this record.
The student with an exemplary record is accepted by Palm Beach Junior College after completion of a minimum of two full school years and a minimum of ten (10) credits earned above grade nine to take college courses under the following conditions:
Up to one-half (1/2) or a full-time student load may be carried concurrently with or in addition to a minimum of three credits in the regular high school program.
College credits may be used to satisfy appropriate high school credit requirements or may be earned in addition to regular fulfillment of high school credit requirements.
This program shall be limited to a small percentage of exceptionally well qualified students according to plans approved by the Superintendent and the president of Palm Beach Junior College.
No transportation will be furnished by the Board.
